Jen and Shannon’s Harbourside Wedding

The Royal Botanic Gardens, I personally think, holds some of the most beautiful areas for an outdoor wedding that any bride or groom could wish for.

The “Australian Native Rockery” area, where I recently married Jen and Shannon is simply a stunning location.  It is flat and grassy with a huge magnificent old fig tree framing one side of the area, an unbelievable, totally unobstructed view of our beautiful Sydney Harbour in front, with the opera house sails on the left making a perfect back drop behind the signing table for photos whilst Jen and Shannon signed the Marriage Register.

Botanic Gardens Wedding

The bride walking along the path of the gardens with her bridesmaid made the videographer’s work easy as they made a perfect picture with the sun shining through the trees emphasizing the colours of their gowns. The bridesmaid looked fabulous in a short very flattering figure hugging dress the colour of cappuccino with the fabric separately draped from the shoulder line to the hip both back and front.

The bride looked radiant as well as stunningly beautiful, bringing a tear to the eye of the groom as she walked down the aisle, in a gown which was not the traditional white or cream, but a very delicate shade of BLUSH. The bodice was made of exquisite guipure lace whilst the skirt of the gown was very soft and feminine with lace appliques and lace around the hemline. It was a beautiful wedding gown, and had, I’m sure, many of female guests doing a rethink on the traditional white gown.

It was a perfect day and a superb location for Jennifer and Shannon’s ceremony, I would highly recommend The “Australian Native Rockery” garden area in the Sydney Botanic gardens. And for any brides wanting something a little different in their wedding dress, I think that BLUSH is certainly a colour for you to consider!
